Modern Garden with Veranda

This exceptionally large garden extends entirely around the residence: front, side and back. The house was built in the 1930s and is set against the dunes of The Hague. Attached to the garage is a veranda. A fire place, which also functions as an outdoor grill (BBQ), together with electric terrace heaters make this a pleasantly warm retreat, even in colder weather.

The aim was to create a modern, harmonious design. The extensive stone pond is truly the heart of this garden. One side features a wooden terrace with two lounge chairs. The other side harbours a second spacious terrace area with Bay Leaf Cherry trees encircling the large dining table. The immense wheeled planter boxes with Olive trees are especially designed to be rolled aside easily to allow access to the garage.
